Why Should You Hire a Home Inspector?

A professional home inspection can save you time, hassle, and money.

We’ll give you the Big Picture analysis of the house you are purchasing or selling. Knowing the condition of a house can help you decide whether or not to buy, negotiate the price, or figure out what might make potential buyers hesitate.

Your home inspector will also point out issues - such as water damage - that might seem minor but can lead to, or be a symptom of, much larger problems.

To see an example of the kind of issues a home inspector can point out, check out an example inspection report.

When you hire a home inspector, you are hiring an experienced professional who has training and experience in the building industry.

It’s our job to not only evaluate the condition of the house's major systems and structural integrity but also to evaluate how these systems are working together and identify areas that need to be watched, repaired or replaced.

If something is really wrong, we’ll let you know which steps to take next.

An engineering analysis is different than a home inspection and isn’t included in our services, but if the home inspector identifies

the need for a costly, detailed analysis of any of the house's systems or structures –which is rare, but crucial – we’ll let you know when you need to contact a qualified professional who can help, such as a professional engineer.

While a professional engineer won’t necessarily have training or experience conducting home inspections, they do have expertise analyzing particular systems or structures.
